I am proud and excited to announce my campaign for re-election to a third term on the Orange County Board of Education. Over the past several years, public schools have faced unprecedented challenges, and public education continues to be under attack at every level. Despite these challenges, Orange County Schools have made significant academic progress – and we must continue moving forward.

There is still more work to do, and I remain deeply committed to this fight—for our students, our educators, and our community. Every student deserves to feel a strong sense of belonging, receive the support they need for success, and to learn in classrooms that are safe and welcoming and focused on growth.  

It is also essential that our teachers and staff are compensated in a way that reflects their professional status and the critical role they play in the success of our students. This not only acknowledges their dedication and expertise but also helps attract and retain high-quality educators and support personnel by valuing teachers and staff as the professionals they are. As a dedicated and collaborative member of the school board, I believe in inclusive education that empowers all students to thrive. My record reflects a commitment to listening, collaborating, and ensuring that every child has access to high-quality academic rigor and meaningful extracurricular opportunities. By working together, we are building a stronger, more united school community.

Throughout my tenure, I have championed programs that reflect our community’s diversity, values, and commitment to academic excellence. From our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs that connect students with real-world skills and local businesses, to Exceptional Children’s programs, support for the arts, athletics, robotics, FFA, and our many student clubs, I believe in creating pathways for every student to succeed.

I have prioritized inclusive decision-making by engaging with students, families, teachers, staff and our community to understand their needs and concerns. This approach has led to initiatives that strengthen academic performance, enhance extracurricular programs, and ensure a safe, welcoming environments for everyone.

My Priorities for Re-Election

• Students – Strong academic and well-being support, inclusive and welcoming learning environments, and opportunities for extracurricular activities
• Teacher Support and Retention – Valuing educators through competitive compensation and professional support
• Safety and Security – Ensuring every school and classroom is a safe, welcoming space for learning and growth
• Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency – Making every decision with accountability and our students’ best interests at heart

I will continue to advocate for equity and clear communication and provide leadership that prioritizes excellence, equitable access, and opportunity for every learner.

Together, we can build on the significant progress that we’ve made and continue our work to provide a school system where every student has the tools and opportunities for success.
